From the vaults of the Scottish Film and Television Archive come
these flickering images of life as it used to be in and around
Perth. Rekindle fading memories of industries long gone, of places
changed beyond recognition and of a lifestyle we shall never
experience again. This trip down memory lane features General
Accident¹s 1935 Jubilee celebrations, a promotional film for the
Salutation Hotel in 1939, Churchill receiving the freedom of the
City in 1948, the opening of Queens Bridge in 1960 and much, much
more, including brief visits to Dundee, Crieff, Pitlochry, Dunkeld
and other villages along the Tay. Presented by David
