From the vaults of the Scottish Film and TV Archive comes a
collection of cine films fom the early 1900s to 1939, showing the
Glasgow of our forebears. This is the Glasgow of old, industries
long gone, places changed beyond recognition and a population for
whom poverty and hardship were the norm. Largely unedited, these
fascinating, mute images of yesteryear have been set to classical
and period music, retaining the original subtitles. This is a
journey back in time everyone will enjoy to the full - nostalgia
doesnąt get any better than this. Presented by David
