From farming to weaving, coal, steel and much more in between,
life in Lanarkshire saw much change in the 20th century. Now,
thanks to the pioneering cinematographers of the past, and the
Scottish Screen Archive, we can look back fondly to the times of
our forebears. This is not a history lesson, it is a trip down
memory lane to visit industries long gone, places changed beyond
recognition and to witness a lifestyle the likes of which we shall
