Gift Certificate information


Basic information:

  1. No matter if you have a printed or electronic version of the Gift Certificate, both have the monetary value and gift code stated, which are most important elements of every Certificate.
  2. When you redeem your certificate its money value is changed into www.heritageofscotland.com online currency (airgid points). No matter if you change Certificate into points or airgid into goods, 1 British pound always equals 20 airgid points (exchange range is constant so you will get always the same number of points).
  3. You don't have to buy items using points only, you can use them as a discount and complete the order with a standard credit/debit or PayPal payment. So if you don't have enough airgid to buy something you can use them as a discount.

To use Gift Certificate please (instruction for new customers):

  1. Go to www.heritageofscotland.com/register. You will be redirected directly to the registration form. This process is necessary when you want to be able to spend money from Gift Certificates. Registration is completely free and no unwanted messages will be sent.
  2. Please fill in all registration fields.
  3. Remember to enter the gift code from your certificate into "Top-up-code" box.
  4. When all registration fields are filed in, please press "Create an account".

  5. If you have filled in the whole form correctly the comment on the picture below should appear. Now you will be asked to activate you account. To do so you will need to visit your email box. If you can't find activation link please visit spam (junk) folder and mark us as a safe sender if needed.

  6. After clicking the activation link go to www.heritageofscotland.com and log into your account.

  7. Now click "Airgid balance" link which is in the right top corner of www.heritageofscotland.com. Your points should already show up on the list.

To use Gift Certificate please (instruction for returning customers):

  1. If you already have an account on www.heritageofscotland.com please log in.

  2. Now click "Airgid balance" link which is in the right top corner of www.heritageofscotland.com. Your points should already show up on a list.

  3. Please enter your gift code into "Top-up-code" box and then click "Use Top-up button". If everything goes fine, you should get "Successfully added X airgid" comment and your points should immediately show up on your account.

To use Gift Certificate when logging in with Facebook:

  1. Log in with your Facebook details. Log in button is available from every page of www.heritageofscotland.com in the right upper corner.

  2. Now click "Airgid balance" link which is in the right top corner of www.heritageofscotland.com. Your points should already show up on a list.

  3. Please enter your gift code into "Top-up-code" box and then click "Use Top-up button". If everything goes fine, you should get "Successfully added X airgid" comment and your points should immediately show up on your account.

How to pay with Gift Certificate?

  1. Once you are registered and have your Certificate activated you can go shopping. If you followed the steps from the above instructions correctly, the sum in British Pounds from your Gift Certificate should have been exchanged to airgid points (£1 = 20 airgid - our online currency). From this point you can buy products (or get a discount) with airgid, to make shopping easier - on every product page you can find prices in our online currency. You can always change the main currency to show your preferences, airgid prices will stay the same. Remember that although you pay with virtual currency all taxes and duties still apply, for example, the price in airgid will include VAT if you are buying within the EU, and customers outside of the EU may be charged import taxes by their local Customs to receive products purchased.

  2. There are two methods of paying with Gift Certificate (remember to be logged in!):
    • When you have added all items to your shopping cart just go to cart view (click a red box with the symbol of a cart in a top middle part of the screen).

      Now click “Pay with airgid” option (1) next to all items you want to be bought with Gift Certificate (when Gift Certificate does not cover all the expenses it will be used as a discount). Remember to click “Update airgid” link (2).

    • When you know what you want to buy, select “Pay with airgid” option on product page of your choice (you have to be logged in to see this option). Then press “Add to cart” button (all product options have to be chosen). Remember that you can use your Gift Certificate as a discount. In other words you can use £10 Gift Certificate (=200 airgid) to cover half of the price of £20 product. If you want to pay with a Gift Certificate for other item just go to their product pages and repeat the instruction.

      When you are done go to cart view (click a red box with the symbol of a cart in a top middle part of the screen).

  3. Check if total sum to pay (when Gift Certificate is used as a discount the sum will not equal 0) is correct and airgid boxes are selected. In the lower box you can check how much you saved and how many airgid points are you going to spend.

  4. You can also pay (or reduce price) for the shipping. This option is available in the last stage of shopping checkout named “place order”. First choose shipping method. Now you can select “Reduce shipping cost with airgid points” box. This option is available only if you pay with Gift Certificate for a products and you have some online currency (airgid points) left.

Gift Certificate Terms and conditions.

  1. www.heritageofscotland.com gift certificates must be redeemed on the www.heritageofscotland.com website.
  2. Gift certificates and gift cards cannot be used to pay for gift certificates.
  3. Gift cards can't be resold or exchanged for money.
  4. To use gift certificate registration on www.heritageofscotland.com is required.
  5. Any unused balance will be recorded in Users Account.
  6. When using gift certificate money will be changed in equivalent of airgid points which is online currency on www.heritageofscotland.com.
  7. Unspent airgid can be used as a discount in www.heritageofscotland.com.
  8. Gift certificates and gift cards and unused portions of gift certificates and gift cards expire one year from the date of activation, where permissible under applicable law.
  9. Normal www.heritageofscotland.com terms and conditions of purchase and use of the www.heritageofscotland.com website apply.
  10. www.heritageofscotland.com is not responsible if a gift certificate or a gift card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
